Frequently Asked Questions
How do I split a song into vocals and instrumental?
Upload an MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or MP4 file to the AI Stem Separator, pick the 2-stem mode, and the AI returns a clean vocal track and an instrumental backing track in about a minute. No software to install — everything runs in your browser and on our servers.
Can I separate a song into more than two stems?
Yes. Choose 4-stem mode for vocals, drums, bass and other, or 6-stem mode for vocals, guitar, bass, drums, piano and other. Every stem is returned as a downloadable MP3 or 24-bit WAV, ready to drop into your DAW.
Can I extract chords from a song?
Yes. Alongside the stems, every separation task returns a guitar chord sheet generated from the isolated guitar part. The chords are synced to the timeline, so you can read the progression while the stems play in the mixer.
Is the AI stem separation free?
New accounts get 2 free credits on signup, no credit card required. Each separation costs 1 credit, and credits never expire. You can purchase additional credits from the pricing page whenever you need more.
How do I remove background noise from a recording?
Upload any audio to the AI Sound Denoise tool and the deep-learning denoiser strips hiss, hum, static and room tone while preserving instruments and vocals. An A/B comparison and a live frequency spectrum let you hear and see exactly what was removed.
What is the difference between Music mode and Vocal mode in AI denoise?
Music mode uses spectral gating to suppress steady noise while keeping the full stereo field, instruments and vocals — ideal for songs and live recordings. Vocal mode uses the DeepFilterNet speech model to aggressively clean a voice recording and will also remove any background music. Use Music for songs, Vocal for podcasts and interviews.
What kind of noise can AI denoise remove?
It targets steady, predictable noise: tape hiss, mains hum, computer fan noise, air-conditioning rumble, traffic noise and general room tone. For best results, choose a mode that matches your source — Music for songs, Vocal for speech.
How do I add reverb to a vocal or instrument recording?
Upload your track to AI Sound Reverb, pick one of five spatial presets — Vocal Booth, Studio Room, Bathroom, Concert Hall or Church — and the AI applies the reverb in seconds. A/B compare against the dry signal and download the result when you are happy.
What is the difference between the five reverb presets?
Vocal Booth is almost dry and up-front — the voice stays intimate. Studio Room adds a natural small-room ambience. Bathroom produces a bright, reflective tile-room echo. Concert Hall gives a deep cinematic hall sound. Church / Cathedral has the longest tail, suited to choral and ambient material.
Can I add reverb to a full song, not just a vocal?
Yes. AI Sound Reverb works on any audio — vocals, guitars, pianos, full mixes. For best results we recommend processing individual stems or a single vocal rather than a full mix, because adding reverb to a full mix tends to smear the whole track together.
Which audio formats are supported across the AI tools?
All three AI tools accept MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and MP4 uploads, up to 500 MB per file. Separation also supports up to 8 minutes of audio per task. Video files are accepted and the audio track is extracted automatically.
How do credits work?
Every AI task costs 1 credit, regardless of file length. New accounts receive 2 free credits on signup. Credits never expire, and you can purchase more from the pricing page whenever you run out.
Do I need to install any software?
No. All three AI tools run in your browser and on our servers — no plugin, no app, no install. They work on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS and Android, and you can access them through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) from AI assistants such as Claude and Cursor.
Can I use the output commercially?
Outputs are generated for personal practice and creative use. If you plan to use them commercially, please ensure you hold the necessary rights to the source audio and comply with any applicable third-party model licences.
