How to Add Reverb to Any Recording — Right in Your Browser
A dry vocal or instrument recording often sounds flat and lifeless. Adding reverb places it in a believable space — a small booth, a warm studio room, a concert hall, or a cathedral — so it sits in the mix instead of on top of it. Pick a preset, adjust the three parameters, and A/B compare against the dry signal. Everything runs on your device; your audio never leaves your browser.
- 1
Upload your recording
Choose an MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC file up to 500 MB, or drag it onto the upload area. The file is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to a server.
- 2
Pick a reverb preset
Choose Vocal Booth for a tight, intimate sound, Studio Room for a natural small-room ambience, Concert Hall for cinematic depth, or Church / Cathedral for a long, ethereal tail. The preset sets decay, pre-delay and wet/dry in one click.
- 3
Fine-tune the three parameters
Decay controls how long the reverb tail rings out. Pre-delay sets the gap before the reverb begins — a longer pre-delay keeps the original signal clearer. Wet/Dry blends the dry source with the reverb. Watch the real-time waveform to see the wet signal fill in as you increase the mix.
- 4
A/B compare before exporting
Hit A · Dry to hear the original, then B · Reverb to hear the processed version. The switch is instant, so you can judge whether the reverb actually improves the recording — not just makes it louder.
- 5
Export the processed audio
Download the result as a 16-bit WAV file, ready to drop into your DAW, video editor, or streaming workflow. Nothing is uploaded, so the export happens locally and instantly.
Browser Sound Reverb Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any audio engineering experience to use this?
No. Pick a preset and the reverb is applied automatically. The three sliders (decay, pre-delay, wet/dry) are there if you want to fine-tune, but most users are happy with the presets on the first listen.
Are my recordings uploaded to a server?
No. Reverb processing runs locally in your browser using the Web Audio API — nothing is uploaded, stored, or processed on our servers. Close the tab and the file is gone from your device as well.
Which preset should I choose?
Vocal Booth for podcast or voiceover with a tight, dry character. Studio Room for pop vocals that need a natural small-room feel. Concert Hall for cinematic depth on instruments or vocals. Church / Cathedral for ambient, meditative, or choral material.
What does the A/B switch do?
It instantly toggles between the dry (original) signal and the wet (reverb-processed) signal, so you can compare them fairly at the same playback position. This is the fastest way to hear whether the reverb is helping the recording.
Can I use this on a full song, not just a vocal?
Yes. It works on any audio — vocals, guitars, pianos, drums, full mixes. Just be aware that adding reverb to a full mix will smear the whole thing together; it usually works best on individual tracks or stems.
Which file formats are supported?
MP3, WAV, M4A and FLAC up to 500 MB. Use a high-quality source — reverb tails are subtle and lossless files give the processor more detail to work with.
What is this different from the stem separator?
The stem separator splits a full song into drums, bass, other and vocals. This tool takes one recording (or a stem) and adds a spatial reverb to it. They work well together — separate first, then add reverb to the vocals.
Do I need to install a plugin or app?
No. It works in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS and Android — nothing to install. If your browser supports the Web Audio API (basically all of them do), it will work.
