How to Add Reverb to Any Audio with AI
A dry vocal or instrument recording often sounds flat and lifeless. Adding reverb places it in a believable space — a tight vocal booth, a warm studio room, a bright tiled bathroom, a grand concert hall, or a cathedral. Pick a preset, press a button, and the file is processed on our servers. An A/B comparison with a live frequency spectrum lets you hear and see exactly what changed — and every result is saved in your history so you can revisit it without spending another credit.
- 1
Upload your audio file
Drag an MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or MP4 file onto the upload area, or click to browse. Files up to 500 MB are accepted. Your file is uploaded to our cloud storage for processing.
- 2
Choose a reverb preset
Pick one of five spatial characters: Vocal Booth (almost dry, up-front), Studio Room (natural small-room ambience), Bathroom / Shower (bright, reflective tile-room echo), Concert Hall (deep cinematic hall), or Church / Cathedral (long, ethereal tail).
- 3
Confirm and run
Press the Apply button — a confirmation dialog shows the preset you have chosen so you can change it before spending a credit. One credit is deducted when you continue. Processing usually takes 10 to 30 seconds.

A/B compare with the frequency spectrum
Once the result is ready, click A · Dry and B · Reverbed to flip between the two versions at the same playback position. The frequency spectrum shows both curves at once — reverb extends the tail and smooths the spectrum, so you will see more energy between the notes.

Download or reload from history
Press Download to save the reverbed MP3 to your device. Every result is also saved in your history, so you can come back later and reload it without spending another credit.
AI Reverb Frequently Asked Questions
Which audio formats can I upload?
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and MP4 are supported, up to 500 MB per file. MP4 files are accepted and the audio track is extracted automatically.
What is the difference between the five presets?
Vocal Booth gives almost no reverb — it keeps the voice intimate and up-front. Studio Room adds a subtle natural small-room ambience. Bathroom / Shower produces the bright, tight, reflective echo you get from tiled surfaces. Concert Hall delivers a deep, cinematic hall sound. Church / Cathedral has the longest tail — great for choral, ambient and meditative material.
How is this different from the free browser Sound Reverb tool?
The browser Sound Reverb tool runs entirely on your device and lets you fine-tune decay, pre-delay and wet/dry in real time — it is free and instant, and nothing is uploaded. This AI Reverb tool runs on our servers, applies one of five carefully-tuned presets in a single click, and is available through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) so AI assistants can call it. Use the browser tool for manual tweaking; use this one for fast, hands-off results or programmatic access.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
Yes. Unlike our browser-based tools, AI Reverb runs on our servers, because the same processing pipeline is shared with our MCP-capable API. Files are uploaded to private cloud storage, processed, and the result is returned to you as a signed download link.
How much does one reverb cost?
One credit per reverb, regardless of file length (up to 500 MB). New accounts get 2 free credits on signup, no credit card required. You can change the preset and re-run, but each run spends one credit.
Can I change the preset after the result is ready?
Yes, but the previous result is discarded when you switch presets so you do not accidentally download an old version. Press the Apply button again to run with the new preset — this spends another credit.
Why does the reverb added version sound louder or quieter than the original?
Reverb adds energy but also changes the perceived loudness. We keep the dry signal at unity gain so that the A/B comparison is fair — what you hear is the spatial character, not a volume difference. If you want the output to sit at a specific loudness, run a normalisation pass in your DAW after download.
Can I re-listen to a file I processed earlier?
Yes. Every reverb is saved in your history. Click Load on any history entry to bring it back into the A/B player without spending another credit. The last session also restores automatically when you return to the page.
What does the frequency spectrum show?
The spectrum plots the amount of energy at each frequency, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The orange curve (A · Dry) is the raw spectrum, and the cyan curve (B · Reverbed) is the processed spectrum. Reverb adds energy between the notes — the tail — so you will see the cyan curve fill in more of the gaps between transients.
Do I need a plugin or an app?
No. Everything runs in your browser and on our servers — there is nothing to install, and it works on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS and Android.
